Eighteen years, countless milestones, and one constant: Stanimira’s drive to grow alongside Nuvei. From one of the first hires in Bulgaria to leading Delivery Operations today, her journey reflects curiosity, collaboration, and a passion for operational excellence.

Making an impact from day one

Stanimira joined the company as a risk analyst when the Sofia team was just starting out. The work was manual and detail-oriented, but it laid the foundation for her understanding of precision, collaboration, and creative problem solving.

"A friend told me about the role. The company was just starting in Bulgaria - innovative and forward-thinking - and it felt like the right place for me to grow."

She quickly progressed through risk, compliance, underwriting, and operations, always looking for ways to streamline workflows and help teams perform at their best. Early in her career, she helped onboard hundreds of small and medium merchants, creating processes that got accounts live quickly.

"Our goal was simple: get merchants live fast. And we made it happen."
